For Sale: Hugo Foth “Towers Double Lock” Handcuffs

$300.00

For Sale: Hugo Foth “Towers Double Lock” Handcuffs – Excellent Condition

Offered here is an excellent pair of Tower-style double locking handcuffs, manufactured by Hugo Foth after he parted ways with the Tower company to produce restraints under his own name. This particular example is the single-link swivel version, making it an especially desirable and uncommon find for advanced collectors.

  • Maker’s Mark: Stamped with a distinct “F” on the inside edge near the hinge, as shown in the close-up photo — confirming true Hugo Foth manufacture.

  • Model: Towers Double Lock, also stamped “FEL.”

  • Condition: Excellent throughout, with a clean grey patina that’s nicely aged yet well preserved.

  • Functionality: Fully operational with working key and very strong springs.

  • History: Foth had previously assembled Tower cuffs for Union Hardware for decades before launching his own line, making these F-marked examples rare and historically significant among early 20th-century restraint collectors.

A fine, tight-working piece of early restraint craftsmanship, bridging the artistry of Tower and Foth.
