For Sale: Extraordinary Horst Stein Leg Irons – Steel Cable Variant – Possibly the Only Known Original Example
Presented here is an exceptionally rare set of Horst Stein leg irons, complete with key and preserved in remarkable condition. This is among the most elusive and important pieces in all of European restraint collecting.
What distinguishes this example is the original steel cable construction connecting the cuffs — exactly as illustrated in the original German patent papers. While a small number of other Horst Stein examples are known in private collections, those examples do not retain the steel cable connection. This piece may represent the only known surviving example built precisely to the inventor’s original specification.

• Locks function perfectly
• Rubber covering on both shackles is excellent
• Rubber covering on the steel connecting cable is excellent
• Both lock bodies stamped DRGM a, DRP a, 200
