Mechanism: Padlock slides shut, and the shackle locks automatically with the turn of the shackle

Historical Note: This style of restraint is historically significant — Houdini was famously challenged in Germany and taken to court, where authorities secured a set of Transporketten on his wrists to test his claim that he could escape any handcuffs.
