Froggatt not only was a large handcuff manufacturer, Thomas Froggatt was a close friend of Harry Houdini and would when needed create special handcuffs for Houdini's various stage challenges.  

The Froggatt company was in direct competition to Hiatt and later after many years of success was bought out by Hiatt.

The Handcuff retains approx. 70% of its original nickel plating
